Scott County Historical Society - The Stans Museum: I have included the Stans Museum in Le Sueur County resources because they have the notes of Harold Albrecht who was the town genealogist for Belle Plaine and surrounding area. He made copious notes about local families from information he found in the Belle Plaine Herald. The Herald did a good job of covering townships in the northern part of Le Sueur County. The museum also has some church records which include Le Sueur residents. 235 Fuller St. S., Shakopee. Phone: 952-445-0378. Open: TWF, 9-4; Th, 9-8; Sa, 10-3.
The Schoolhouse Museum: The Schoolhouse houses the Le Sueur branch of the Le Sueur County Historical Society. The collection is not as extensive as the Elysian center, but it sometimes covers the northern part of the county better. They have surname files, newspaper scrap books, and miscellaneous records. They have tombstone inscriptions for the cemeteries in Le Sueur County done by John Dalby of Faribault. The museum is located at 709 North Second St., Le Sueur, MN 56068. Phone: 507-665-2050 Open: TuWThSat 10 - 4:30; Friday 1-4:30.

A plug for my favorite genealogical society:
Sorry, there is no known cure.
In March and April, 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Genealogy Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collected databases would be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in the index. This led to the USGenWeb of which the MNGenWeb is a part. If you would like to volunteer to host a Minnesota County page, contact MNGenWeb
